The Ultimate Solution for Reducing BOD, COD, SS and FOG Levels in Food Factory Wastewater.

Bio-Zyme® significantly reduces BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand), COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), SS (Suspended Solids), and FOG (Fats, Oils, and Grease) levels in the final effluent of food factory wastewater treatment plants. It achieves this by enhancing the performance of floc-forming bacteria and settling processes, thereby improving the efficacy of aeration tanks across various industries including food processing, meat processing, bakeries, abattoirs, poultry farms, slaughterhouses, noodle factories, frozen food facilities, pulp and paper, winery and canneries.

How Bio-Zyme® Works :

It works by introducing beneficial bacteria and enzymes into the wastewater treatment system. These microorganisms break down organic waste materials into water-soluble nutrients. The enhanced activity of floc-forming bacteria improves the settling process, leading to clearer effluent and more efficient aeration tank performance. Benefits include:

  • Reduction of BOD, COD, SS, and FOG in the final effluent.
  • Rapid recovery from operational upsets.
  • Ability to absorb shock from toxic influents.
  • Enhancement of the stability of wastewater treatment systems.
  • Natural odor neutralization through organic acid oxidation.

Bio-Zyme® is essential for maintaining efficient and compliant wastewater treatment systems in facilities that handle organic-contaminated wastewater, ensuring environmental sustainability and regulatory compliance.

Direction for use and application rate:
In a 500 cum3 food processing wastewater treatment plant systems, multiply 100 cum3 by 1,000 liter / cum3 by 1,000 g per liter by 10 parts and divided by 1,000,000. This equals 1 kilogram per day to be used for normal preventative maintenance treatment.

100 cum3 x 1,000 liter/cum3 x 1,000 g/l x 10 parts = 1 kg/day
                                1,000,000

Flow rate can also be used to determine the volume required for normal preventative maintenance. Calculate the weight of the total organic contaminated wastewater flowing into the waste treatment system and add 5 to 10 ppm by weight. During normal maintenance program, the point of application should be in an area which allows the product the maximum time in the system.

These normal preventative maintenance rates are based upon:

  • BOD ranges of 250 to 500 mg/l
  • Minimum D.O of 2 ppm
  • Optimum pH range of 6.5 to 7.5
  • Maximum water depth of 3 meters
  • Negative effects on biological growth rates are possible in the presence of varying concentrations of heavy metal in the mix liquor solution. i.e. mercury, hexavalent chromium and inorganic cyanide wastes.
