ChainDragging

Rejuvenating aged aquaculture ponds using AQUAMIMICRY® Red Cap and chain dragging can transform them into environments rich in natural live feed for shrimp and fish farming.

Steps for Rejuvenation:

Drain and Clean:

  • Drain the pond and remove accumulated sludge and debris.

Apply Aquamimicry®Red Cap:

  • Fill up the pond with filtered water, maximum of 1 meter depth (lower is better).
  • Prepare and mix AQUAMIMICRY® Red Cap with water as per the recommended dosage.
  • Evenly distribute the mixture throughout the pond to introduce beneficial microorganisms that decompose organic matter and improve water quality.

Chain Dragging:

  • Use chain dragging to disturb the pond bottom, breaking up compacted sediments and enhancing the distribution of nutrients and microorganisms.
  • This process helps aerate the pond and promotes the growth of natural live feed like plankton.

Refill and Monitor:

  • Refill the pond with fresh, clean water.
  • Monitor water quality regularly and ensure balanced levels of dissolved oxygen, pH, and nutrients.

By following these steps, aged ponds can be rejuvenated to support a thriving ecosystem, providing natural live feed for shrimp and fish farming.
